Position Overview:
Praxis Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Scheduling Specialist to join our dynamic front office team. This role is essential in ensuring that our patients receive timely and effective care. Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome, assess, and schedule patients efficiently.
- Accurately input patient information into electronic health records and other relevant platforms.
- Execute clerical tasks associated with clinical services.
- Prepare and manage correspondence, addressing routine medical administrative inquiries.
- Handle a high volume of reception duties, including answering and screening calls, relaying messages, and facilitating communication between patients and clinical teams.
- Verify and update patient information, providing necessary support to both patients and medical staff.
- Assist in maintaining medical records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure precise scheduling to optimize provider and patient time.
- Contribute to internal communication through various software tools.
- Maintain organized files and support the establishment of office systems.
- Aid in the upkeep of office equipment and perform medical receptionist duties as required.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
- Typing proficiency of at least 45 words per minute.
- Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Environment:
This position requires manual dexterity for operating office machinery, including computers and calculators. The role involves mobility for errands and the ability to sit for extended periods. The employee may regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. The work environment is office-based, with frequent interactions with staff and patients.
