About the Role

The Talence Group is seeking a seasoned Chief Executive Officer to lead our organization in promoting the financial viability of independent medical practices. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for the overall performance of our organization, including strategic planning, operational excellence, and leadership development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan that aligns with our organization's mission and vision.
    • Lead the team in evaluating and guiding the Board on our financial position and balance sheet.
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop an operational plan that incorporates the current plan and aligns with the needs and opportunities of our member and provider network.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Communicate strategic direction to the leadership team and develop an operational plan that engages the executive team.
    • Mentor the leadership team in implementing best practices for operational excellence, including strategic planning, prioritization, resource management, and contract management.
    • Optimize the organization and operating model to align with opportunities for the future and the resources required to support them.
  • Leadership & Organizational Development
    • Guide the evolution of a scalable organizational structure and operating model.
    • Build upon the cohesive culture and support the organization in building the capacity for change and managing through ambiguity.
    • Provide guidance to leaders in enhancing their performance and personal development.
  • Network and Government Agency Engagement & Influence
    • Serve as the voice of our organization and spearhead the development of a shared platform that advocates for the critical role of sustainable independent medical practices.
    • Engage with and advocate for independent practices across the region by partnering with current and future members, hospitals, commercial and managed insurance partners, and government agencies.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in healthcare, including administrative operations and oversight of value-based contracting.
  • Demonstrated successful executive experience leading a function or organization of > 50 employees and >$10M revenue.
  • Broad experience in financial and operational management, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong communication skills, both external and internal.
  • Commitment to our organization's mission and aligned to our organizational values.
  • Graduate degree in a healthcare-related discipline, business or finance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Non-profit leadership experience as an Executive Leader, Executive Director, CEO, or Board Member in a Member-based organization.
  • Direct experience with commercial and managed care providers.
