Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Security Specialist to join our team at Per Mar Security Services. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and testing electronic security systems, including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and related equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and wire specified alarm system devices, ensuring compliance with manufacturer's specifications and industry standards.
  • Test and verify that all systems and devices installed function properly, using multimeters for voltage and OHM readings and circuit analysis.
  • Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad, and explain the system's operation to customers.
  • Complete daily paperwork and submit to the appropriate department, and communicate with clients, coworkers, and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Installation Supervisor, related to the operation of daily business functions.
Requirements
  • Valid license and good driving record.
  • Pass background checks and drug tests.
  • Must be able to obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry, according to state regulations.
  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Must be able to travel, as needed.
  • Mathematical skills, including ability to calculate figures and amounts, and knowledge of fire and electrical codes.
