Position Overview

Role Summary

As a Retail Sales Associate at H&M, you will provide expert advice to our customers, helping them stay stylish. This role, also known internally as Sales Advisor, is pivotal in delivering an exceptional Customer Experience that drives store sales and profitability. You will prioritize customer needs, offer assistance, and share your knowledge of Products and Fashion. Your efforts will create a seamless shopping environment through effective Store Operations and Garment Care. By collaborating with colleagues, you will contribute to building a Best Team that meets customer expectations. This position adheres to H&M's standards, policies, procedures, and legal obligations.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Warmly greet and engage customers in service areas and on the sales floor to ensure an outstanding shopping experience.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized sales floor, including folding, hanging, displaying, and merchandising garments according to H&M guidelines to enhance selling opportunities.
  • Efficiently process, stock, and replenish garments on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
  • Receive and unpack merchandise from delivery trucks, ensuring items are labeled with security tags within established timelines.
  • Handle transactions at the register, issue receipts, and package merchandise following best practices.
  • Promote and educate customers about our H&M Loyalty program.
  • Share your expertise with colleagues, providing assistance to foster a positive work environment.
  • Comply with H&M standards and local regulations regarding health, safety, and security to ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues, and customers.
  • Adhere to all procedures and protocols related to safety, security, and administrative processes throughout the store.

  • A collaborative team player with a flexible mindset.
  • Ability to lift over 20 pounds.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods, bending, stretching, and engaging in repetitive motions, as well as pushing, pulling, and carrying items short distances.
  • Comfortable using a ladder and step stool.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Job Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Compensation:

Sales Associates start at $12.50 per hour.
