Southlake Automation is a rapidly expanding provider of industrial control systems. Our teams specialize in designing tailored robotic and automated solutions that enhance safety, productivity, and sustainability for a diverse clientele.
We are currently looking for a dedicated Purchasing Specialist to manage daily procurement activities and vendor relationships. This role involves sourcing industrial components and equipment for various projects to support our automation systems. Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
This position is full-time and operates from our office. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate purchase orders utilizing QuickBooks Enterprise.
- Identify suppliers to secure optimal pricing and timely delivery of materials.
- Collaborate with vendors to enhance the procurement workflow.
- Monitor orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Provide cost reports to project managers for budget tracking.
- Coordinate shipments for outgoing products and systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach with team members and clients.
- High level of accuracy in data entry.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar financial software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Office365.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or business support role; a college degree is preferred.
