Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Methodist Hospitals. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals and improve their functional abilities.
  • Evaluate patients' upper extremity function and activities of daily living (ADLs) performance.
  • Document assessments and interventions accurately and timely.
  • Educate patients and family members on proper techniques and strategies for improving functional abilities.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case reviews to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and Occupational Therapy students as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
  • Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) certification required.
  • Knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
Standards of Behavior
