Key Responsibilities- Diagnostic Imaging Services: Perform radiologic procedures using x-ray equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Patient Care: Introduce yourself to patients, explain exams, and obtain necessary patient history to ensure accurate and safe testing.
- Workflow Management: Manage workflow to ensure timely and efficient delivery of diagnostic imaging services.
- Clinical Competency: Demonstrate clinical competency in radiology, adhering to established standards and protocols.
- Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication skills, interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Education: Associate's degree in Radiology or related field from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 2 years of imaging-related experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Licensure: Active IN Radiologic Technologist License and ARRT (R) Radiography Registration through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Certification: Basic Life Support Certification.
Meets the Standards of Behavior as outlined in Personnel Policy and Procedure #1, Employee Relations Code.
Demonstrates knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality, and integrity of employee, patient, family, organizational, and other medical information.
Understands and supports the commitment of Methodist Hospitals in adhering to federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations governing ethical business practices for healthcare providers.
