Senior Infrastructure Administrator

Are you prepared to take charge of enhancing and safeguarding our IT framework? We are in search of a Senior Infrastructure Administrator who will guarantee the smooth functioning, dependability, and security of our network services. In this position, you will leverage your proficiency in VMware ecosystems, Identity Management (including Active Directory and Entra), and Citrix management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • VMware Management: Set up new hosts, execute VCenter and ESX upgrades, and implement modifications to storage and network configurations. Address performance challenges with expertise.
  • Citrix Management: Oversee and update Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, including template virtual machines and essential Citrix infrastructure components such as the Directory Controller and Storefront servers.
  • Windows Server Oversight: Ensure Windows servers are patched and current using MECM (formerly SCCM) or alternative tools. Construct and deploy new servers both on-premises and in Azure.
  • SQL Server Oversight: Manage SQL Server maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, index upkeep, and user security.
  • Infrastructure Oversight: Ensure high availability and reliability of DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory services.
  • Hardware and Software Upgrades: Independently handle and execute software and hardware upgrades, ensuring our technology remains up-to-date.
  • System Security: Implement and oversee security protocols, applying updates and patches to defend against vulnerabilities.
  • Project Management: Lead IT infrastructure initiatives from inception to completion, managing timelines, coordinating teams, and ensuring project objectives align with organizational goals.
  • Backup Administration: Manage the backup environment, including backups, restores, and disaster recovery testing.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • VMware Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing VMware environments and a comprehensive understanding of virtualization technologies.
  • Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp Expertise: Skilled in administering and managing a XenApp/XenDesktop environment, including developing new applications and maintaining infrastructure servers.
  • Network Services Management: Experience with DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory, along with knowledge of VLANs, firewalls, and load balancers in an enterprise context.
  • PowerShell Proficiency: Competence in utilizing PowerShell for modifications and automation.
  • Linux Familiarity: Basic navigation and use of Linux shell commands.
  • Remote Desktop Services Administration: Experience with RDS session farms and RemoteApp.
  • Active Directory/Group Policy Management: Strong understanding and experience in managing Active Directory and Group Policies.
  • SQL Server Management: Proficient in managing SQL Server environments, including maintenance, backups, restores, installations, updates, and security administration.
