This role is pivotal in ensuring that processes and systems uphold the exceptional standards of Cabinetworks Group's product offerings and meet customer expectations throughout the value chain. The position utilizes quality metrics to define, assess, analyze, and implement processes aimed at continuously monitoring and enhancing process capability, control plans, and audits through the application of Cabinetworks Operating System (COS) methodologies for effective problem-solving and ongoing improvement initiatives.

This position is primarily onsite at the Corporate Headquarters in Livonia, MI, from Monday to Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate and monitor the performance of the quality management system across the Cabinetworks Group value chain.
  • Deliver training to staff on relevant aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) pertinent to their roles.
  • Develop systems that align with specifications and standards (both customer and third-party) concerning activities and products.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to assess current processes and modifications.
  • Identify and establish effective quality control systems in the areas of corrective and preventative action (CAPA) and non-conformances at network sites to support the development, qualification, and ongoing manufacturing of products that meet or exceed both internal and external standards.
  • Supervise product manufacturing through audits to ensure that quality documentation and standards align with the Cabinetworks Operating System (COS).
  • Establish and implement necessary communication channels to enhance awareness and improvement of quality issues across the value chain.
  • Collaborate with Cabinetworks Corporate Quality on quality management systems and standards organizations.
  • Implement internal changes in standards and assess performance against these standards.
  • Develop and implement agreed-upon targets within policies and standards in collaboration with the Senior Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Proactively investigate, identify, and apply best-in-class quality practices.
  • Serve as a mentor in Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Quality Assurance Manager.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, quality, new product development, manufacturing, or regulatory environments.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally, up to 50%.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in Quality Systems, Six Sigma Methodology, Validation, and FMEA/Risk Management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Design Control, Risk Management, and Project Management.
  • Ability to coordinate multicultural teams and manage multiple activities with varying business, compliance, and customer drivers.
  • Proficient in computing statistical data and conveying complex statistical information to all levels of leadership.
  • Experience in Product Auditing and Sample Auditing AQL.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as Pareto charts, histograms, and flow charts.
  • Experience with APQP/QFD.
  • Computer literacy, including strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 10 years of experience in the Quality Field.
  • Ability to align quality initiatives with customer and business value propositions.
  • ASQ Certification: CQE, CQM, CQA, CQT, CRE.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO-9001, ISO-14001, QS9000).
  • Experience with ANSI A161.1.
  • ISO-9000 Lead Auditor Certificate.
  • Other quality-related certifications.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
