Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager-Development to join our team at V2X. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and construction of our projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage project design and/or construction efforts, including schedule, funding, and day-to-day project oversight.
  • Contractor Management: Manage and evaluate construction contractor performance, ensuring they meet our quality and safety standards.
  • Project Coordination: Integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
  • Change Management: Evaluate, validate, and manage project change requests, ensuring they are properly documented and implemented.
  • Communication: Provide official weekly project status reports and prepare and distribute project communication with customers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Acquisition Planning: Assist the client's Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) with acquisition planning, execution, and administration.
  • Site Visits: Assist the CO and COTR with conducting pre-bid and pre-construction site visits with the COTR.
  • Invoice Preparation: Provide invoice supporting information to the COTR for payment.
  • Project Scheduling: Prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets, providing technical guidance and assistance on contracting and construction-related issues.
  • Design Reviews: Conduct design reviews with the customer, ensuring their requirements are met.
  • System Integration: Ensure integration of all systems, including information technology, telephone, security, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in any field; high school, vocational school, or trade school diploma and five (5) years work experience in a similar field may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • Certifications: Valid U.S. Drivers license and ability to obtain an International Drivers License; valid U.S. Passport; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of experience in project management; one (1) year of experience with MS Project or other PM software; five (5) plus years of supervisory experience, especially leading a large contract with complex, diverse-dynamic set of requirements in an operationally sensitive environment.
  • Skills: Operate MS Project or other PM software such as MAXIMO; ability to analyze, prioritize, and problem solve effectively; written and oral communication skills, especially ability to brief senior officials; strong multi-tasker with ability to manage time and priorities; strong leadership, project management, team building, and presentation skills.
  • Abilities: Read and understand AutCAD drawings and blue prints; communicate well verbally and in writing at all organizational levels; work independently and as a team player; work nights and weekends for operational necessities, as required; continue developing professional licenses, certifications, and expertise through formal training and on-the-job experience.
