We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to lead ground-up construction projects for our retail division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of our new build projects, from initial planning and design to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the planning, design, and execution of out-of-ground construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans to drive project success.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to formulate and implement effective project strategies and plans.
  • Regularly evaluate project designs, plans, and specifications to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Oversee and coordinate construction activities, including site preparation, foundation work, structural development, and all associated tasks.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and proactively resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction phase.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality control standards, and project specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the procurement team to manage material and equipment sourcing, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders, communicating progress, risks, and mitigation strategies effectively.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to out-of-ground construction, and apply this knowledge to enhance project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering out-of-ground construction projects, including ground-up development.
  • 5-10 years of experience in project management or construction.
  • Deep knowledge of construction methods, entitlements, building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional project teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, along with a solid understanding of construction project management principles and techniques.
