Key Responsibilities of the Construction Site Supervisor:
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations across all job sites.
  • Create work schedules based on employee availability, contractor commitments, and labor regulations while monitoring attendance.
  • Organize daily activities according to project priorities and adjust plans as needed due to weather conditions, supply issues, or personnel changes.
  • Delegate tasks and projects to team members and contractors effectively.
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and train both employees and contractors.
  • Provide necessary resources and staffing to meet safety standards, regulations, best practices, and project timelines.
  • Focus on the safe operation of tools, machinery, and equipment, including providing training on safety gear and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards across all job sites.
  • Oversee and manage project budgets effectively.
  • Address and resolve any conflicts or miscommunications that arise on-site promptly and amicably.
  • Regularly report on project status to management and site engineers.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Only US Citizens and Green Card Holders are eligible. Candidates must pass security clearance for work in secure environments.
  • Must provide valid tax and work authorization documents.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction best practices, equipment maintenance, and occupational safety guidelines.
  • Familiarity with the operation and upkeep of electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, plans, and blueprints and communicate this information effectively.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication and reporting abilities.
  • Proficient in mathematics and possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Job sites are located in various regions, including Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
