Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating a project mobilization strategy and review plans and specifications for scope and feasibility.
  • Develop, monitor, and implement the most effective methods and techniques for executing work in collaboration with the internal project management team, including a Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager.
  • Foster positive relationships with owner representatives, subcontractors, vendors, and various regulatory inspectors.
  • Possess familiarity with all trades involved in commercial interior construction, including but not limited to demolition, rough carpentry, millwork, framing, drywall, tiling, flooring, painting, and MEP trades.
  • Exhibit the ability to maintain a clean and organized construction site.
  • Understand and apply the necessary experience to deliver high-quality construction work within the agreed timeframe.
  • Coordinate field activities of subcontractors and suppliers while enforcing safety policies and procedures for all personnel on-site.
  • Generate precise project documentation, including two-week look-ahead schedules, as-built drawings, and daily construction reports.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance company processes and exceed client expectations.

Supervisory Role:

The Superintendent is accountable for supervising field personnel and subcontractors on-site.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledgeable in project management software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction industry.
  • Familiar with the requirements of drawings and specifications, as well as the terms and conditions of project contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
  • Strong mathematical and accounting skills.
  • Some supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Able to interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Effectively functions as part of a team.
  • Delegates tasks appropriately.
  • Exhibits strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Possesses strong communication and client service skills.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.

OSHA Certification is required.

First Aid/CPR Certification is preferred.
