We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager-Development to join our team at V2X. Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage project design and/or construction efforts, including schedule, funding, and day-to-day project oversight.
  • Contractor Management: Manage and evaluate construction contractor performance, ensuring they meet our quality and safety standards.
  • Project Coordination: Integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
  • Change Management: Evaluate, validate, and manage project change requests, ensuring they are approved and implemented efficiently.
  • Communication: Provide official weekly project status reports and prepare and distribute project communication with customers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Acquisition Planning: Assist the client's Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) with acquisition planning, execution, and administration.
  • Site Visits: Assist the CO and COTR with conducting pre-bid and pre-construction site visits with the COTR.
  • Invoice Preparation: Provide invoice supporting information to the COTR for payment.
  • Project Scheduling: Prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets, providing technical guidance and assistance on contracting and construction-related issues.
  • Design Reviews: Conduct design reviews with the customer, ensuring their requirements are met.
  • System Integration: Ensure integration of all systems, including information technology, telephone, security, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in any field; high school, vocational school, or trade school diploma and five (5) years of work experience in a similar field may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • Certifications: Valid U.S. Driver's license and ability to obtain an International Driver's License; valid U.S. Passport; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of experience in project management; one (1) year of experience with MS Project or other PM software; five (5) plus years of supervisory experience, especially leading a large contract with complex, diverse-dynamic set of requirements in an operationally sensitive environment.
  • Skills: Operate MS Project or other PM software such as MAXIMO; ability to analyze, prioritize, and problem solve effectively; written and oral communication skills, especially ability to brief senior officials; strong multi-tasker with ability to manage time and priorities; strong leadership, project management, team building, and presentation skills.
  • Abilities: Read and understand AutCAD drawings and blueprints; communicate well verbally and in writing at all organizational levels; work independently and as a team player; work nights and weekends for operational necessities, as required; continue developing professional licenses, certifications, and expertise through formal training and on-the-job experience.
