Candidate Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the commercial construction sector as a Project Supervisor.

• Proficient in all aspects of commercial construction, including site preparation, utility installation, and finalizing punch lists.

• Comfortable analyzing blueprints and identifying discrepancies or conflicts with existing conditions.

• Foster a collaborative atmosphere where subcontractors and suppliers work together effectively to achieve mutual success.

• Prioritize safety daily and hold an OSHA 30 certification.

• Proactive in addressing project challenges before they escalate.

• Highly organized and always planning ahead.

• Clear and effective communicator, adept at both written and verbal communication.

• Capable of managing project-specific documentation, including daily logs, RFIs, and assisting with payment application reviews.

• Familiar with project management and scheduling software, including Procore, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.

• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

• Experience in overseeing structural steel projects or working with metal buildings is advantageous.

Safety Responsibilities

• Accountable for site safety.

• Ensure all on-site personnel adhere to the safety program.

• Complete and file all necessary safety documentation.

• Collaborate with the safety department to identify and rectify potential safety issues promptly.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support the Estimating Team in bid reviews and scope leveling.

• Assist the Preconstruction Team in evaluating design development drawings and documents.

• Participate in project start-up activities as needed to support Operations and Project Management.

• Conduct takeoffs for ordering self-performed materials.

• Aid the Project Management Team in reviewing scope documents and monthly payment applications.

• Conduct site visits and assist in defining project scopes for bidding.

• Develop schedules for bidding and preconstruction efforts.

Pre-Construction and Project Initiation

• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to review scope of work and detailed drawings for each trade/supplier to prevent misunderstandings.

• Work with the Project Manager to create a well-considered construction schedule that balances client needs with construction realities.

• Complete project start-up checklists and associated responsibilities.

• Engage in project planning and mobilization.

Site Oversight and Coordination

• Ensure compliance with owner and HCI safety policies.

• Establish and review construction procedures to ensure adherence.

• Provide consistent and timely on-site inspections and supervision of all project trades/suppliers to ensure adherence to the schedule.

• Cultivate client relationships.

• Coordinate suppliers and trades on-site.

• Inform the Project Manager of schedule updates as necessitated by changing job conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience)
