Key Responsibilities:

In the role of Cloud Security Operations Engineer, your tasks will include:

  • Designing and implementing cloud networking solutions in AWS and/or Azure environments, focusing on Layer 2/Layer 3 configurations.
  • Utilizing concepts such as transit gateways, VPC peering, and transitive routing to optimize cloud architectures.
  • Setting up and managing virtualized routers (Cisco, Linux), firewalls (Palo Alto), web application firewalls, and software-defined perimeters (AppGate).
  • Provisioning and managing resources across AWS, Azure, GCP, and other cloud platforms while automating processes using popular DevOps tools and scripting languages, including Terraform, Packer, Salt, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, and Go.
  • Contributing to version control repositories and participating in code reviews and approvals.
  • Deploying, configuring, and overseeing Kubernetes clusters using tools and services such as Helm, ArgoCD, Istio, and Prometheus.
  • Implementing Single-Sign-On (SSO) solutions with MFA, SAML, and identity provider integration.
  • Establishing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), creating and enforcing policies, and developing VDI solutions using AWS Workspaces and Azure Windows Virtual Desktop.
  • Enhancing security across cloud providers, networking, and operating system layers.
  • Configuring, managing, and integrating logging solutions with EFK Stacks (ElasticSearch, Fluentd, Kibana).
  • Architecting custom solutions with code, tools, and cloud services while performing in-depth troubleshooting of cloud services and applications.
  • Maintaining and updating documentation regularly.
  • Collaborating with management and peers to refine processes and improve deployment timelines.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Proactive in implementing innovative solutions and conducting research, design, and implementation.
  • Ability to work autonomously on assigned tasks.
  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture and DevSecOps deployment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Platform One Big Bang and Cloud One Production environments.

Essential Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship and a current TS/SCI clearance are required.
  • Experience with cloud automation, CI/CD, or serverless tools.
  • Proficient in using JSON or YAML for Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience in implementing, troubleshooting, and securing cloud networks (TCP/IP, Layer 3 Routing, BGP, Firewall Security) with knowledge of best practices for AWS and Azure.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell, along with Linux configuration management and system administration.
  • Experience in configuring and deploying containerized applications.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins).
  • Experience in developing cloud infrastructure solutions using containers and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) managed through Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Successful completion of a background check and any additional customer background investigation requirements prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in firewall configuration and management.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Administrator Associate.
  • Azure Administrator Associate, Developer Associate, DevOps Solutions, or DevOps Engineer Expert certifications.
  • Knowledge of Cloud-Native Architectures and Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with Zero Trust Architectures.
