We are currently seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Space Systems Command Program Office by developing software solutions that enhance cyber operations for the defense of mission-critical systems. Utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), you will facilitate the swift development and deployment of software solutions aimed at safeguarding against cyber threats.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Engaging in Agile and/or DevSecOps ceremonies.
  • Acting as the primary administrator for cloud services, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies to support an API-driven cloud model.
  • Managing artifact ingestion for effective storage and analysis.
  • Facilitating capabilities development within a Gov-cloud AWS environment.
  • Overseeing patch management for Amazon Machine Instances (AMI) and ensuring compliance with the latest security standards.
  • Advising on the adoption of new cloud services and features.
  • Developing strategies for the organization’s cloud initiatives.
  • Researching Cloud Service Provider capabilities to recommend scalable solutions.
  • Managing enterprise cloud solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Providing automation and orchestration capabilities across environments.
  • Maintaining best practices and documentation related to cloud operations.
  • Recommending policy adjustments to support cloud-native tools.
  • Assisting with cloud migration analysis and development activities.
  • Collaborating with integration teams to ensure effective deployment processes.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud engineering.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field from an accredited institution.
  • Certification at IAT Level II.
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or equivalent.
  • Must be a US Citizen with a current Top Secret Clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • Administering and maintaining cloud operations in AWS, Azure, or GPC.
    • Implementing Infrastructure as Code.
    • Utilizing scripting languages for automation in cloud management.
    • Configuring monitoring and logging solutions.
    • Implementing cloud security controls and best practices.
    • Designing scalable cloud architectures.
    • Optimizing cloud resources.
    • Familiarity with tools such as Python, Terraform, and AWS CloudFormation.
