Job Overview

Auria is actively seeking a Cloud Security Operations Engineer to enhance the development of the Wideband Global Satellite Communications (SATCOM) system. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing DevSecOps functions that architect and implement solutions for building, testing, and deploying containerized microservices in a dynamic environment, aimed at delivering automated deployment and testing solutions for both cloud-based and on-premises software factories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) operations across various cloud service platforms.
  • Support software quality initiatives related to product deliveries, manage ongoing lifecycle maintenance of the DevSecOps toolchain, and implement necessary upgrades to the software factory.
  • Perform automated system testing, integration, and deployment utilizing DevSecOps tools and methodologies.
  • Propose and execute enhancements and modifications to DevSecOps workflows and tools/products.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship).
  • Proficient programming skills in Bash, YAML, Python, PowerShell, and AzureCLI.
  • Experience with GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, and Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud and GCC High.
  • Experience in planning or supporting missions over a SATCOM constellation.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft configuration and SATCOM resource allocation.
  • Understanding of application security principles and vulnerability remediation techniques.
  • Experience working within an agile system development framework, performing engineering tasks for complex systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple demonstration events simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship).
  • Experience in software development, test automation, and system automation supporting Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and Security as Code (SaC).
  • Expertise in CI/CD processes, tools, and technologies within a modern software factory, including knowledge of GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with secure software development methodologies and implementing full-stack infrastructure with a Security First approach.
  • Knowledge of security standards such as NIST, STIG Compliance, and Ansible Lockdown.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team using tools like Jira and Confluence is highly desirable.

Compensation Range: $93,000 - $144,000

  • Engineer Level 3: Bachelor's degree with seven or more years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with four or more years of relevant experience.
  • Engineer Level 4: Bachelor's degree with 12 or more years of experience, or a Master's degree with nine or more years of experience.
