Senior Cloud Security Engineer

The Opportunity:
As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you possess the expertise to establish secure cloud environments and manage essential networking, storage, and virtual networks—essentially, how to optimize cloud capabilities. We are seeking a seasoned professional like you to assist our clients in modernizing their IT frameworks and addressing their most complex challenges.

In your role at Booz Allen, you will collaborate closely with cloud architects and engineers to oversee server configurations for advanced cloud solutions. Your skills within a DevSecOps framework will be instrumental in provisioning virtual machines or networks, utilizing cloud service providers to enhance our clients' significant missions.

With access to our innovative internal labs, you will have the ideal environment to advance your skills and explore diverse approaches to resolving our clients' challenges. Whether you are involved in developing, deploying, or managing IT infrastructures for critical server and network components, you will have the latest technology and the most talented colleagues at your disposal.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in developing, deploying, and coding for DevSecOps pipelines and Kubernetes.
  • 4+ years of experience in software development across various programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, extreme programming, software engineering, or product development.
  • Experience in writing source code for new applications or enhancing existing code samples.
  • Experience in automating workflows to resolve operational challenges.
  • Experience in creating solutions for complex issues within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
  • Ability to utilize automated testing tools for testing and maintenance purposes.
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree.

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP, or Drupal.
  • Experience managing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub actions.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • Master's degree.
