Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Engineer to enhance our cybersecurity engineering team. This role is pivotal in protecting our systems and sensitive data. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cybersecurity practices and a commitment to developing innovative security solutions. Your responsibilities will include safeguarding our infrastructure against threats and ensuring adherence to security protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and oversee security protocols to protect computer systems, networks, and sensitive information.
  • Identify and establish system security requirements and standards.
  • Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure components.
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to address vulnerabilities and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and security evaluations.
  • Manage network security systems, including intrusion detection and prevention mechanisms.
  • Analyze security logs to identify potential issues within computer systems.
  • Update and enhance security systems as necessary.
  • Provide technical guidance and support on security matters to team members.
  • Collaborate on authentication, authorization, and encryption strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging security technologies and products.
Qualifications
  • CISSP certification.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and standards such as NIST and ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.
  • Proficient in operating systems, particularly Linux and Windows.
  • Solid knowledge of network technologies and security configurations, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
  • Familiarity with cloud security and compliance standards, particularly in AWS environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex security issues clearly.
  • IAT Level II/III certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker).
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Python, Java, or Ruby.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud identity and access management tools.

Salary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $85,000 - $111,000. Final compensation will be determined based on various factors including relevant experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

Education Requirements: 1+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor of Science degree, or an Associate degree with 2 additional years of experience, or a High School Diploma with 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. US Citizenship is required, and candidates must agree to participate in a background screening and credit check.

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation assistance. Candidates must reside in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
