About the Team
Our Sales Engineering team works hand-in-hand with our Account Executives in a pre-sales capacity to design and present solutions that leverage Rapid7's security offerings. This team is composed of motivated professionals where collaboration is key. Given the compact size of the local team, your contributions can significantly influence our trajectory and future expansion.
About the Role
The Lead Security Solutions Engineer acts as an integral partner with our sales team, aligning customer needs with Rapid7's security solutions. You will be expected to have in-depth, presentation-ready knowledge of all Rapid7 product lines, with a focus on security solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Comprehend and convey the value of our solutions, articulating the Rapid7 narrative and addressing the question, 'Why choose Rapid7?' to prospects, colleagues, partners, and the broader community.
- Facilitate both in-person and virtual product demonstrations, collaborating closely with Sales Account Executives to showcase the technical value proposition.
- Serve as the technical contact for customers throughout the pre-sales evaluation process, illustrating how Rapid7 products fulfill their business and technical requirements.
- Engage with regional channel partners to provide technical sales training and support for partner-led initiatives.
- Deliver on-site demonstrations at Rapid7 seminars, events, and industry trade shows.
- A genuine enthusiasm for acquiring new skills and technologies.
- Support sales efforts through technical qualification.
- A technical background, ideally within the security domain.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various Operating Systems and Security Solutions.
- A sincere commitment to helping customers achieve their objectives.
- The capability to connect with and engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills in English.
- Proficiency in delivering effective presentations to diverse groups, both technical and non-technical.
- A self-motivated, enthusiastic, and determined approach to success.
- An understanding of the sales process and the associated roles and responsibilities.
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Background as a security practitioner in commercial or public-sector organizations.
- A solid grasp of network architecture, TCP/IP configurations, and components (such as firewalls and routers).
- Expertise in IT, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, DevOps, Application Security, or Security Automation.
- Familiarity with one or more cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud.
