We seek a seasoned and impactful Director of Product Operations to spearhead essential operational rhythms, performance oversight, and interdepartmental collaboration initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, this role will function as the Chief of Staff for the Product division, fostering a high-performing product leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and streamline critical planning and decision-making processes for the Product division, including solution evaluations, roadmap prioritization, and yearly planning.
  • Identify, implement, and oversee product management tools, processes, and best practices to boost team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess and report on product performance.
  • Lead cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing product operations, including process optimization, resource distribution, and risk management.
  • Directly supervise a Project Management Office (PMO) comprising approximately 8 individuals responsible for major technical and product-driven cross-functional initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineering, data science, design, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution of product objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among product teams and other departments, including updates on prioritization and product launches.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the CPO, assisting in decision-making, strategic planning, and execution of key initiatives.
  • Oversee the agenda for the CPO and product leadership team, ensuring clear ownership and ongoing follow-up on action items.
  • Coordinate and lead special projects and initiatives as directed by the CPO, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy and organizational goals.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and other materials for executive meetings, board discussions, and external engagements.
  • Create high-quality documentation and artifacts to ensure clarity for cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
  • Guide the product development lifecycle at every stage, optimizing processes and rituals that support team success.

  • Contribute significantly to the effective implementation of the product operating model at Spring Health.
  • Establish a decision-making and communication rhythm that enhances stakeholder alignment and satisfaction while minimizing reporting burdens on product teams.
  • Accelerate the collective ability to identify, organize, and deliver innovations aligned with cross-team priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in product management, product operations, or a related field, demonstrating a successful track record in leadership roles.
  • Experience in a Chief of Staff or similar strategic support role is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in healthcare, health tech, or benefits technology.
  • Background in hypergrowth startup environments.

The target base salary range for this position is $200,800 - $245,000, part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual compensation may vary based on experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We conduct annual reviews of employee compensation to ensure competitive and equitable pay.
