Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President will lead transaction teams, engage in comprehensive analysis, drive business expansion, and ensure the effective delivery of MarshBerry's services. This role encompasses the origination and execution of merger and acquisition advisory, business valuation, due diligence, and financial consulting projects. The Senior Vice President will oversee negotiations, structuring, terms, and conditions, and manage the daily operations as projects progress from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary client liaison for merger and acquisition and financial consulting projects, formulating strategies and overseeing the implementation of client deliverables while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Manage both sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory engagements, including financial modeling, due diligence, identifying potential buyers or sellers, deal structuring, negotiations, and ensuring successful transaction closures.
  • Identify growth opportunities and implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction, market share, revenue growth, and profitability, positioning MarshBerry as a strategic partner.
  • Coordinate new business development initiatives within existing product lines and explore opportunities for new services through proactive relationship-building techniques.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients, vendors, and other business unit leaders to ensure client retention and satisfaction.
  • Research, draft, and structure client-ready deliverables.
  • Conduct quality reviews of project components, establish timelines, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Identify client-related issues and develop effective resolution strategies, leading the team to implement solutions.
  • Direct and mentor team members, manage priorities, oversee workflow, provide constructive feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Publish insights on transaction advisory, diligence, financial consulting, valuation, and relevant industry topics.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, integrating them into service development and quality standards.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive revenue generation for MarshBerry's services.
  • Engage in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management; a Master's degree or Juris Doctor is advantageous.
  • Professional designations or certifications such as CPA, CVA, CPCU, or AM&AA are preferred.
  • 6-10+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate development, law, assurance services, or financial consulting.
  • Proven track record of leading teams to achieve and exceed organizational goals.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and address new business concepts and challenges.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to obtain necessary licensing to become a registered representative of our affiliated broker dealer shortly after hiring.

  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as required.
