Position Overview

The Event Operations Coordinator will undertake general labor responsibilities as assigned. Tasks include, but are not limited to, venue transformations for diverse events, setting up and dismantling chairs, tables, staging, and maintaining cleanliness.

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $16 to $18, contingent upon maintenance experience.

For part-time roles: Benefits include a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance consistently.
  • Interpret documentation related to room configurations.
  • Set up and dismantle various equipment, including chairs, tables, staging, risers, trash receptacles, dance floors, coat racks, table skirting, carpeting, and pipe & drape.
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors, as well as washing walls, windows, stainless steel surfaces, countertops, and woodwork.
  • Ensure restrooms are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards while restocking supplies.
  • Address stains and perform carpet cleaning and extraction.
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of designated areas within the facility.
  • Dust, polish, arrange, and relocate furniture and equipment as necessary.
  • Dispose of rubbish and waste appropriately.
  • Execute facility maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Report any defective equipment, facility damage, or areas needing attention to supervisors promptly.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
  • Must remain aware of changing circumstances, such as staffing or supply shortages.
  • Able to work from general instructions and specifications with minimal oversight.
  • Capable of functioning effectively in a service-oriented environment with frequently changing priorities.
  • Must respond calmly to public inquiries and demonstrate accountability and responsibility.
  • Present oneself in a highly professional manner and understand the importance of honesty and ethics.
  • Able to stand for extended periods.
  • Able to lift, bend, kneel, twist, and stretch as required.
  • Able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
