Healthcare Access Coordinator (Pre-Registration)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate immediate entry for patients into the healthcare system at various access points, ensuring the establishment of medical record identifiers through effective search techniques.
  • Confirm insurance eligibility and meticulously input all patient demographic and insurance details into the electronic health record system.
  • Complete and manage necessary patient documentation, providing patients and their representatives with information mandated by federal, state, and accreditation standards, including Patient Rights, HIPAA Privacy Notices, and relevant informational letters.
  • Support the integrity of critical data within the healthcare system and act as the initial contact for the revenue cycle process.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable
  • Experience in registration processes is preferred
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting is required
