The Senior Vice President of Program Management will spearhead initiatives concerning reporting and analytics, senior leadership communication strategies, and execution oversight for the Risk Transformation Execution team.

Ideal candidates will possess a proven history of effective written communication tailored for senior stakeholders, alongside experience in financial services risk management and regulatory communications. Strong analytical capabilities are essential for leveraging data and crafting visualizations that support strategic messaging. The role demands the ability to forge robust partnerships with diverse stakeholders and employ innovative problem-solving techniques to navigate cross-organizational challenges within Risk transformation. A comprehensive understanding of effective risk management practices and thought leadership in meeting regulatory standards is also expected.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be accountable for:

  • Leading the formulation and execution of Risk transformation updates for senior management and board members, including the creation of a monthly Transformation Executive Dashboard that highlights program status, achievements, and key challenges.
  • Structuring and developing strategic governance materials for Risk & Control transformation, adhering to requirements set by the central transformation program office.
  • Creating materials for various updates to regulatory bodies and contributing to regulatory Quarterly Progress Reports regarding the advancement of the Risk & Control transformation initiatives.
  • Conducting strategic analysis and reporting on program health and management, including forecasting program progress to identify areas needing enhanced focus and resource reallocation.
  • Overseeing the development of ad hoc reports for the Risk Execution Lead, Head of Enterprise Risk Management, and Chief Risk Officer concerning Risk transformation.
  • Reviewing quarterly resource adequacy for Risk transformation, collaborating with program leads to document and explain deviations from the plan.
  • Facilitating the identification and resolution of risks and issues at the overall Risk & Control transformation program level.
  • Monitoring and tracking program risks that may impact delivery, escalating to relevant stakeholders as necessary, and ensuring that documented mitigation strategies are effective and adhered to.
  • Supporting the identification of interdependencies across the Risk transformation plan and other transformation initiatives, highlighting risks and issues arising from challenges in other areas.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Services sector or Big Four consulting.
  • Experience within a complex, global financial institution or related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, engaging effectively with senior management.
  • Commitment to quality and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven capability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively to solve problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective interaction with senior internal clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to communication regarding issues and requests.
  • Understanding of relevant banking regulations and supervisory expectations for large, complex financial institutions, particularly in risk management.
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate information on multiple topics to understand program objectives and communicate them effectively.
  • Preferred experience in one or more risk management disciplines within a large global banking environment.
  • Strong influencing skills, capable of identifying and persuading key decision-makers across various levels and functions within the organization.
  • Well-developed listening skills and the ability to engage effectively at the senior management level.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Proven track record of managing internal relationships and leading sustained change initiatives.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

$163,000 - $245,400.00
