About the Senior Vice President of Capital Management role:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure optimal capitalization and availability of capital.
  • Facilitate capital delivery to support both debt and equity platforms, aligning with the corporate vision.
  • Assist various business leaders in addressing their specific capital requirements to promote growth.
  • Engage with businesses on asset sales and refinancing, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives for capital allocation and revenue generation.
  • Partner with the CFO and CRO, along with business leaders, to design and create market-clearing products that support community impact and business expansion.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential opportunities, including qualitative and quantitative assessments of investment strategies, risks, processes, organizational structures, portfolio positions, and performance.
  • Lead the Trading Desk as the primary clearing agent for all originated loans, expanding its capabilities to include paper and securities transactions.
  • Collect and evaluate information from various sources to enhance financial models, ensuring that pricing and product structuring reflect ongoing market dynamics.
  • Work closely with the CEO and CFO on strategic decisions regarding capital and liquidity management.
  • Coordinate with leadership across business units to analyze and evaluate strategic alternatives, including acquisitions, partnerships, or potential investments as they arise.
  • Maintain a robust network of investment thought leaders and managers, leveraging these resources for sourcing, evaluation, and reference checks.

Key Qualifications:

  • MBA or BA/BS in Economics, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field is required; MA/MS preferred but not mandatory.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in debt and equity capital markets, with a strong understanding and passion for affordable housing and multifamily investments.
  • Proven ability to raise debt and/or equity capital for diverse business ventures.
  • In-depth understanding of corporate structures and real estate strategies.
  • Strong collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Strategic thinker with proficient decision-making skills.
  • Effective and professional communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in corporate strategy.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing investment teams, emphasizing team building, development, motivation, retention, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
