JOB SUMMARY

The Training Coordinator I is responsible for delivering and organizing training for Members and Authorized Representatives seeking assistance and guidance within the Colorado Consumer Directed Attendant Support Services (CDASS) program. This role operates in alignment with Federal and State Regulations, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Department of Health Care Policy and Finance (HCPF). The coordinator manages a caseload of Members enrolled in CDASS, facilitating daily operations and advocating for clients while fostering a collaborative office atmosphere.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage a caseload of Members participating in CDASS
  • Assess and coordinate training requirements for Members in accordance with Federal and State Regulations, HCPF guidelines, and contractual obligations
  • Engage in effective communication with all stakeholders
  • Adhere to relevant legal standards, policies, and procedures
  • Exhibit reliability and accountability in job performance
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Show proficiency in computer applications
  • Maintain essential skills and knowledge to effectively manage workflow
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
  • Effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external Members and Stakeholders
  • Ensure timely completion of training sessions as stipulated in the contract
  • Travel within the designated geographic area as needed
  • Process referrals from Case Management Agencies efficiently
  • Conduct follow-ups on referrals, providing initial training overviews and scheduling training sessions as required
  • Monitor training progress and assist Members/Authorized Representatives in program administration per contract specifications
  • Review training materials for accuracy and completeness, following up with clients as necessary
  • Submit finalized training documentation to case managers for approval
  • Complete necessary documentation for all job-related activities in a timely manner
  • Assist in maintaining databases and electronic records
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Experience in a related field is advantageous
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or the elderly is preferred
  • Familiarity with Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waivers is a plus
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required

The role typically involves working in an office setting, utilizing a computer, telephone, and other office equipment to fulfill job responsibilities. The work environment noise level is standard for an office. The incumbent may experience frequent interruptions during the workday. Regular activities include sitting, talking, and listening; frequent use of repetitive hand motions; and the ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, or lift items weighing up to 20 pounds.
