Key Responsibilities
The Training Specialist will oversee the execution of both in-person and virtual training sessions for GSCO volunteers. This includes managing all facets of the volunteer training program, such as:
- Coordinating volunteer trainers and logistics for training events.
- Administering training materials and ensuring effective delivery of training content.
- Monitoring and reporting on volunteer training engagement and completion.
Travel Requirements
This position necessitates regular travel within the designated support area. A valid driver's license, active vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation are required, as the role may involve transporting equipment and supplies.
Essential Duties Include:
- Managing the schedule for live training sessions, both online and in-person.
- Handling logistics for training events, including:
- Securing venues
- Scheduling trainers
- Preparing training materials
- Managing registration processes
- Tracking training participation
- Collaborating with marketing teams to promote training opportunities.
- Providing prompt responses to inquiries regarding volunteer training.
- Recruiting and supporting volunteer trainers to deliver impactful training experiences.
- Recognizing the contributions of volunteer trainers.
- Assisting in the development and refinement of training curriculum.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
This role involves extensive collaboration with the volunteer support team to ensure training needs are met and to enhance volunteer participation. Additionally, the Training Specialist will work with statewide teams to align on strategic goals and objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with experience in event coordination.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with customer relationship management systems.
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable.
Experience:
- A minimum of two years in event management, training, or a related field is required.
- Experience in developing training programs for adult learners is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
