JOB SUMMARY

The Training Coordinator I is responsible for delivering and organizing training sessions for Members and Authorized Representatives who require assistance and guidance regarding the Colorado Consumer Directed Attendant Support Services (CDASS) program. This role operates in alignment with Federal and State Regulations, as well as the guidelines set forth by the Department of Health Care Policy and Finance (HCPF). The coordinator will manage a caseload of Members enrolled in CDASS, ensuring smooth daily operations and advocating for clients while fostering a collaborative office atmosphere.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage a caseload of Members participating in CDASS
  • Assess and coordinate training requirements for Members in accordance with Federal and State Regulations, HCPF guidelines, and contractual obligations
  • Engage in effective communication with all stakeholders
  • Adhere to relevant legal standards, policies, and procedures
  • Exhibit reliability and dependability in all tasks
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Show proficiency in computer applications
  • Maintain essential skills and knowledge to ensure efficient workflow
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training initiatives
  • Effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external Members and Stakeholders
  • Ensure timely completion of training sessions as per contractual timelines
  • Travel within the designated geographic area as necessary to meet Member needs
  • Receive and process referrals from Case Management Agencies
  • Follow up on referrals by initiating contact, providing an overview of initial training, and scheduling training sessions within established guidelines
  • Monitor training progress and offer support to Members/Authorized Representatives to ensure compliance with program requirements
  • Review training materials for accuracy and completeness, following up with clients/authorized representatives as needed
  • Submit finalized training documentation to case managers for approval
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of all job-related activities
  • Assist in maintaining databases and electronic records
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Experience in a related field is advantageous
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or the elderly is preferred
  • Familiarity with Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waivers is a plus
  • Must successfully pass a background check
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required

The position typically involves working in an office setting, utilizing a computer, telephone, and other office equipment as necessary. The work environment noise level is standard for an office, with frequent interruptions throughout the day. The incumbent is regularly required to sit, talk, or listen; frequently engage in repetitive hand motions, handle or feel objects, and may need to stand, walk, reach, bend, or lift items weighing up to 20 pounds.
