Job Overview

Are you an experienced leader in the construction sector with a strong focus on piping and plumbing? We are seeking a proactive Field Supervisor to oversee our projects with enthusiasm, skill, and hands-on management. If you are dedicated to achieving construction excellence and thrive on ensuring every detail is executed flawlessly, this position is tailored for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Strategist: Analyze project drawings and specifications to develop a comprehensive and actionable construction plan, emphasizing piping and plumbing.
  • Team Leader: Ensure our projects are fully staffed and operating efficiently by collaborating closely with Project Managers and the Construction Operations Manager.
  • On-Site Authority: Serve as the primary resource on the job site, offering practical guidance to field teams, particularly regarding intricate piping systems and essential equipment installations.
  • Efficiency Advocate: Track and enhance field labor productivity, ensuring all tasks are performed effectively and adhere to our high standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Supervise fabrication shop operations, confirming that all materials meet specifications and are delivered punctually to maintain project momentum.
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Manage subcontractors meticulously, ensuring their work meets quality expectations, especially during critical project phases.
  • Trainer & Mentor: Cultivate the next generation of field leaders through hands-on training and mentorship, both on-site and in educational settings.
  • Logistics Coordinator: Organize the delivery of tools and materials, oversee our rental equipment fleet, and maintain our tool inventory in optimal condition.
  • QA/QC Coordinator: Direct our quality assurance and control initiatives, performing thorough inspections to guarantee that every project aspect meets the highest standards.
  • Safety Champion: Promote safety on the job site by leading weekly safety meetings, conducting inspections, and ensuring our teams return home safely each day.

Qualifications:

  • Piping & Plumbing Knowledge: Extensive hands-on experience with piping and plumbing systems is essential—you possess a deep understanding of these systems.
  • Education & Experience: An associate degree or equivalent from a technical institution, along with six months to one year of relevant experience, or a robust combination of both.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong abilities in interpreting construction documents, managing multiple projects, and addressing on-site challenges. You are also adept with numbers, applying advanced mathematical concepts to practical situations.
