The Piping Superintendent is a key leadership position responsible for the effective management and supervision of piping projects from start to finish. This includes overseeing the installation and maintenance of piping systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating with other trades and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Oversight: Oversee all aspects of piping installation and maintenance projects, develop and manage project schedules, and ensure timely completion of work.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and direct a team of pipefitters, welders, and other piping personnel, provide training and mentorship, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all piping work is completed in accordance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards, inspect work sites and completed installations for quality and compliance.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, vocational training or an associate degree in a related field is preferred, extensive experience in piping installation and supervision, typically 3+ years.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of piping systems, installation techniques, and industry standards, excellent leadership and team management skills, proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
