Position Title: Plumber (ECM)

Position Summary: ECM Holding Company is seeking dedicated Plumbers who are willing to travel extensively across various job sites nationwide. The role involves the installation, modification, upkeep, and repair of plumbing systems, focusing on drainage and water supply. Candidates should be prepared for significant travel, with assignments lasting up to two weeks or more. (Travel expenses are covered by the company.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain damaged pipes and unclog drains.
  • Replace outdated plumbing fixtures with modern, low-flow alternatives.
  • Employ hand tools for the installation of valves, couplings, and components in plumbing systems.
  • Excavate trenches and install piping for water, irrigation, or sewage systems.
  • Secure hangers and brackets to walls for pipe support.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes at required angles using precise measurement tools.
  • Inspect plumbing systems to diagnose issues and initiate repairs.
  • Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to ensure effective plumbing solutions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Fundamental plumbing knowledge is essential
  • A minimum of 3 years of plumbing experience in residential or commercial settings
  • Completion of a vocational training program, associate degree, or apprenticeship is preferred
  • Ability to interpret technical designs and blueprints
  • Proficient in the use of plumbing tools, materials, and equipment
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Willingness to travel

Physical Requirements:
Plumbers may be required to work long hours in various outdoor conditions, which may involve physical strain. Responsibilities include lifting heavy objects and handling equipment that may be sharp, hot, or extremely cold. Adherence to safety protocols is critical to prevent injuries. Potential exposure to hazardous materials and gases is also a consideration.

  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs above shoulder height.
  • Regular movement of heavy equipment.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, and twisting.
  • Regular climbing and use of ladders and scaffolding.
  • Requires stamina for extended work hours.

Work Environment:
While performing essential duties, plumbers will encounter both indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, and potentially hazardous job site environments.
