Position Summary

The Utility Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a pipe crew while also participating in the hands-on work performed by the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expertise in pipe installation for sanitary sewer systems, drainage, and water mains.
  • Direct supervision of the pipe crew, reporting directly to the Superintendent.
  • Operation and oversight of heavy machinery on job sites.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Preparation of reports regarding time and materials used.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Management of dewatering processes, bypass pumping, and alignment of utility lines.
  • Familiarity with local construction specifications, materials, and methodologies.
  • Adaptability to changes in schedules, locations, and shifts.

Qualifications

  • Physical capability to lift, push, pull, and carry weights exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising subsurface construction projects, with strong problem-solving skills.
