Position Title: Licensed Plumbing Technician

Position Overview: ECM Holding Company is seeking dedicated Licensed Plumbing Technicians who are willing to travel across the country for various assignments. The role involves the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, including drainage and water supply fixtures. This position requires extensive travel, with assignments lasting up to two weeks or more. (Travel-related expenses are covered by the company.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain broken pipes and clear clogged drains.
  • Replace outdated plumbing fixtures with modern low-flow alternatives.
  • Employ hand tools for the installation of valves, couplings, and other plumbing components.
  • Excavate trenches and install piping systems for water, irrigation, or sewage.
  • Secure hangers and brackets to walls to support plumbing installations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes to specified angles using appropriate tools.
  • Inspect plumbing systems to diagnose issues and initiate repairs.
  • Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to ensure effective plumbing solutions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Comprehensive plumbing knowledge is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of plumbing experience in residential or commercial settings.
  • Completion of a vocational program, associate degree, or apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficient in the use of plumbing tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to travel is a must.

Physical Requirements:
The role of a Plumbing Technician may involve extended hours in various outdoor conditions, which can lead to physical strain. The position requires lifting and maneuvering heavy objects and working with potentially hazardous materials. Adherence to safety protocols is crucial to prevent injuries. The physical demands include:

  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs above shoulder height.
  • Regular movement of heavy equipment.
  • Repetitive bending, squatting, and twisting.
  • Climbing and using ladders and scaffolding.
  • Stamina to work long hours.

Work Environment:
While performing essential duties, Plumbing Technicians will encounter both indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, and potential hazards such as dust, noise, fumes, and chemicals.
