Position Title: Licensed Plumbing Technician

Position Summary: ECM Holding Company is seeking Licensed Plumbing Technicians who are willing to travel extensively across various job sites nationwide. The role involves the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures for water and drainage systems. This position requires significant travel, with projects lasting up to two weeks or more. (Travel-related expenses will be covered by the company.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain damaged pipes and unclog drains.
  • Replace outdated plumbing fixtures with modern low-flow options.
  • Employ hand tools for the installation of valves, couplings, and components in plumbing systems.
  • Excavate trenches and install piping for water, irrigation, or sewage systems.
  • Secure hangers and brackets to walls for pipe support.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes to specified angles using appropriate tools.
  • Inspect plumbing systems to diagnose issues and initiate repairs.
  • Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to ensure effective plumbing installations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Comprehensive plumbing knowledge is essential.
  • A minimum of three years of plumbing experience in residential or commercial settings.
  • Completion of a vocational training program, associate degree, or apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficient in the use of plumbing tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to travel is a must.

Physical Requirements:
The role may involve extended hours outdoors and in challenging positions, which can lead to physical discomfort. The technician will need to lift and maneuver heavy objects and may encounter sharp, hot, or extremely cold materials and equipment. Adherence to safety protocols is critical to prevent injuries. Potential exposure to hazardous materials and gases is also a consideration.

  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs over shoulder height.
  • Regular movement of heavy equipment.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, and twisting.
  • Regular climbing and use of ladders and scaffolding.
  • Stamina to work extended hours is required.

Work Environment:
While performing essential duties, the technician will encounter both indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, and environmental factors such as dust and noise. There may also be exposure to fumes and certain chemicals.
