Job Overview

American International Contractors, Inc. (AICI) is seeking experienced Project Management Specialists with an active Secret level U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. Government experience to oversee construction initiatives abroad in Europe and the Middle East.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement project-specific work plans, adjusting as necessary to accommodate evolving needs.
  • Identify necessary resources and delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Oversee daily operations and scope of the project.
  • Review team deliverables prior to client submission.
  • Ensure adherence to company processes and project standards.
  • Establish and review quality assurance protocols.
  • Mitigate risks associated with the project.
  • Maintain organized and current project documentation.
  • Manage project budgets, holding ultimate responsibility for financial outcomes.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Timely communication of project updates to superiors.
  • Address and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Coordinate with the home office to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must be U.S. Citizens to qualify for the U.S. Secret security clearance required for this role.

  • Possession of or ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 10-15 years of experience in construction/project management, with at least 8 years managing large-scale design/build projects internationally.
  • Experience as a Project Manager on U.S. State Department embassy projects valued at $100 million or more.
  • Proven track record as a General Contractor on high-end construction projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of design/build contract execution.
  • Experience with secured building projects and firm fixed-price contracts.
  • Knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, and management techniques.
  • Experience managing overseas classified projects from inception to completion.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Experience with FEBR, TSS, and specialized construction projects.
  • Ability to lead a multicultural project team and foster a positive work environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to work internationally.
  • Experience in the international construction sector, engaging with diverse cultures.
  • Expertise in contract management and construction risk management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role requires the ability to work on active construction sites overseas, often away from family, in regions with varying social norms and potential challenges. Candidates should be prepared for a demanding work schedule, typically 60 hours per week, with flexibility in hours and days.
