Account Executive Job Description

At Indianapolis Fruit Company, we're dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences through our premium supply chain and distribution network. As an Account Executive, you'll play a vital role in driving sales growth and building strong relationships with our retail partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase customer sales and meet objectives
  • Prospect new sales leads and identify opportunities for growth in assigned territories
  • Implement seasonal resets and direct the building of special produce displays
  • Supply and educate customers with point-of-sale and point-of-purchase materials
  • Collaborate with outside and inside reps to achieve budget, gross profit, sales, and strategic goals
  • Conduct annual customer reviews, including category review, product performance, SKU additions and reductions, and seasonal sales planning
Requirements:
  • Related college coursework and at least 3 years of successful fresh produce management experience in sales, buying, or merchandising for large wholesale distributors or retailers
  • Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office, produce industry software, and common email systems
  • Valid driver's license and maintain insurability on company's commercial auto insurance program
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $50,000 - $60,000 salary range
