Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager - Emerging Technologies - Endoluminal will play a pivotal role within the Global Access, Value & Economics (GAVE) team. This position is responsible for formulating and implementing market access and patient access strategies to facilitate the commercialization of endoluminal technologies throughout various phases, including pre-launch, launch, and post-launch. The role will involve collaboration with Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Business Development, Product Development, and other cross-functional teams to create and execute comprehensive GAVE strategic plans.

Market and patient access strategies will encompass:
1. Assessments of reimbursement (coding, coverage, and payment) for both public and private payers.
2. Development and dissemination of applied health economic value creation plans to demonstrate the benefits of Intuitive's endoluminal technologies.
3. Evaluation of the needs of all key stakeholders (patients, physicians, providers, payers, and policymakers) to promote adoption.
4. Integrated strategic planning to support launches in targeted global markets.

This role is integral to the GAVE team, advocating for the needs of endoluminal technologies in alignment with the mission to eliminate patient access barriers within five years post-launch. The individual will collaborate closely with Centers of Excellence within the GAVE team, particularly the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) team, as well as Regional GAVE teams across the Americas, APAC, and EU to establish a robust, evidence-based value proposition for endoluminal technologies.

Essential Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess:
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing market access strategies for innovative technologies, particularly interventional technologies used in hospital settings.
  • A comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems, health technology assessment (HTA) processes, and reimbursement trends affecting technology adoption.
  • Proven ability to drive market and patient access strategies and influence hospital stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Knowledge of global healthcare payment systems to inform strategies in emerging markets.
  • A solid grasp of clinical pathways, inpatient treatment approaches, and relevant health information.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and prioritization skills.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a natural business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, including international travel.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree with 8-10+ years of industry experience, or an advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) with 5+ years of experience in market access, health economics, marketing, sales, or related fields.
  • Experience in the healthcare medical device, pharmaceutical, or hospital/health system industries is essential, with a track record of high performance.
  • Desirable experience in health economics, clinical selling, health policy, reimbursement strategies, or healthcare consulting.
