Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, ensuring that policies, standards, and procedures are effectively established.

● Oversee adherence to cybersecurity regulations, policies, and standards, ensuring compliance across the organization.

● Create and manage a framework of standards and procedures for local security operations.

● Assess and confirm that security requirements for all Data, Applications, Cloud, and Infrastructure align with information security and compliance standards.

● Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Audit, Privacy, and IT Technology teams during audit and inspection initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

● Provide proactive support to the business regarding cybersecurity, including defining security requirements for critical projects, conducting security due diligence, and managing third-party risks.

● Measure and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) related to security compliance, effectively communicating findings and recommendations to senior management and presenting security risks in regional Risk Management Committees (RMC) and board meetings.

● Serve as a trusted advisor to business, product, and technology teams, helping them navigate cybersecurity challenges, impacts, and security controls, while facilitating informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

● Proven experience in a similar CISO role, ideally within the Financial Services sector.

● Demonstrated expertise in managing security compliance programs.

● Familiarity with maintaining compliance with information security standards and regulations such as PCI DSS, ISO27001, GDPR, NYFDS500, CCPA, and SOC2.

● Understanding of the interplay between cybersecurity and privacy within the regulatory landscape.

● Strong foundational knowledge and practices in identity and access management, authentication, authorization, cryptography, protocol security, perimeter security, operating system hardening, threat intelligence, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.

● Ability to balance and prioritize security requirements with business objectives and resource limitations.

● Excellent stakeholder management skills, collaborating effectively across regional and global teams to leverage knowledge and resources.

● Strong relationship-building and communication skills, capable of engaging individuals from diverse backgrounds and levels.

● Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISA, or CRISC.

● Proficiency in English, both written and verbal; knowledge of Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
