Admissions Manager for Graduate Programs

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a dedicated Director of Admissions for Professional Programs to enhance its admissions team. This role is crucial in shaping the future of our professional degree offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Evaluation:
Conduct thorough assessments of applications for admission into our esteemed professional programs.
Recruitment Activities:
Represent the Commonwealth at various recruitment events, including alumni gatherings and educational fairs, both domestically and internationally.
Interviews:
Engage with prospective students through in-person and virtual interviews, providing insights into our programs.
Alumni Engagement:
Foster relationships with alumni to enhance recruitment efforts and yield initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of experience in student services for Assistant Director role, or eight years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.Bachelor's degree with at least five years of experience in student services for Associate Director role, or ten years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.Preferred: Minimum of two years of admissions experience in a reputable higher education institution or equivalent experience in recruitment or HR.Advanced degree (MBA/Master's) is preferred.Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.Strong technical proficiency, particularly in CRM systems; experience with Slate is advantageous.Ability to understand and address the needs of a selective professional program.High emotional intelligence and collaborative spirit.Commitment to the mission of the Commonwealth and a student-centered approach.Willingness to travel as necessary, including some evening and weekend commitments.
