Senior Program Manager, Post-Arrival Services

Program Management
USCRI oversees a comprehensive Reception and Placement (R&P) program nationwide, collaborating with the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration, U.S. Department of State. This program is pivotal in assisting newly resettled refugees in achieving economic self-sufficiency and successfully integrating into American society. The Senior Program Officer plays a crucial role in managing post-arrival program activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent oversight and support for post-arrival program operations.
- Offer technical assistance and address program-related inquiries.
- Represent USCRI in resettlement working group discussions.
- Lead, direct, and supervise program staff effectively.
- Conduct training sessions on program requirements for network staff and Resettlement Directors.
- Develop and uphold quality assurance policies and standard operating procedures.
- Consult and provide guidance to local resettlement sites within the USCRI network.
- Travel to various locations for in-person monitoring and desk audits to assess service quality.
- Assist in drafting and submitting annual program proposals to funding bodies.
- Identify and integrate promising practices and tools from diverse sources to enhance program impact.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social services, international affairs, immigration policy, international law, or social work, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of relevant experience; MSW preferred.
- At least one year of senior-level experience.
- Experience with refugee-serving programs and resettlement processes.
- Proven ability to provide training and technical assistance.
- Experience in program monitoring, evaluation, or continuous quality improvement.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently, demonstrating self-motivation and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with affiliates, national partners, and funders.
- Highly adaptable with the capability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and independent work.
- Foreign language proficiency is advantageous; individuals from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Willingness to travel domestically several times a year.
- Demonstrated commitment to USCRI's values, including respect for others, confidentiality, appreciation for a multicultural workplace, and dedication to human rights.
Training Requirements
- Successful completion of USCRI's Orientation and Training.
- Engagement in additional training as determined by the supervisor or Human Resources.
