Arlington, Virginia, United States For People Full time
Position Overview

At For People, we are a dedicated team of technologists focused on enhancing digital services for underserved communities. Our mission is to integrate directly within government entities to revamp software, systems, and platforms, ensuring they effectively serve the public.

Your Role

As a Program Manager at For People, you will be instrumental in the digital overhaul of federal government services. Collaborating with a skilled team, you will aim to optimize data workflows, improve data analytics capabilities, and establish comprehensive data governance frameworks to enhance the efficiency of Medicaid programs nationwide. This initiative will revolutionize how the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) utilizes data to inform policy decisions, streamline operations, and ultimately elevate health outcomes for beneficiaries.

Our Work Environment

For People fosters a culture centered around humanity. We prioritize a healthy work-life balance, encouraging our team members to set reasonable expectations and prioritize their personal lives. Flexibility to attend to family needs or take breaks during the day is embraced.

Our entire workforce operates remotely across the United States, with no plans for a return to a physical office.

This position offers a competitive base salary range of $90,000 to $125,000 annually, complemented by comprehensive benefits (including full coverage of Gold-tier employee health insurance premiums) and annual profit-sharing opportunities.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead a small, agile team in executing a Medicaid data strategy. As the Program Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Overseeing all facets of program delivery to align with CMS's objectives and deliverables.
  • Serving as the primary liaison for CMS, managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring transparent communication regarding project goals and progress.
  • Identifying and addressing risks to the program's success, proactively developing contingency plans as necessary.
  • Managing program finances, including budgeting and forecasting, to meet financial targets.
  • Ensuring adherence to all contractual, regulatory, and quality standards, maintaining proper documentation and reporting.
  • Providing program status updates and outcomes to senior leadership.
Your Qualifications
  • A humble and compassionate approach that aligns with For People's core values of passion, fun, curiosity, sustainability, humility, and respect.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in program or project management, particularly with government contracts.
  • Familiarity with government contracting processes, including the FAR and other pertinent regulations.
  • Outstanding leadership and cross-functional team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Experience with data platforms, data strategies, or data analytics is advantageous but not mandatory.

If you are committed to modernizing government services and enhancing the accessibility, accuracy, timeliness, and security of Medicaid data, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Note: This position requires work to be conducted physically within the United States at all times. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to pass a government-mandated public trust background check.

For People is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, and/or veteran status.
