About the Role:
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a part-time Senior Admissions Evaluator and Interview Specialist to join our dynamic Admissions team. This role is essential in engaging with potential candidates for our Professional Degree Programs.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations of applicants' materials, which encompass letters of recommendation, academic achievements, resumes, and work experience.
- Performing virtual interviews with candidates to assess their fit for the programs.
- Engaging in initial conversations with prospective students to address inquiries and provide information about the application process.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of experience in admissions or a related field, or a total of eight years of experience in lieu of a degree (for Admissions Reader).
- A Bachelor's degree with at least seven years of experience in admissions or a related field, or a total of twelve years of experience in lieu of a degree (for Senior Admissions Reader).
- An MBA or a related Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience in enrollment management and/or hiring committees.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to meet regular deadlines.
- A willingness to learn new CRM systems.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a high-performing team.
Work Environment:
This position offers the flexibility to work remotely, with a preference for candidates located in the Washington D.C. area.
