Position Overview
The Director of People Analytics will play a pivotal role in the People team, leveraging data-driven insights to address business challenges throughout the employee lifecycle. This position is crucial for enabling transformational change within Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), focusing on attracting, hiring, retaining, and developing talent in alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement the strategy and roadmap for People Analytics, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and overseeing data warehousing and analytics tools.
  • Promote a culture of 'data-informed decision-making' across the organization, providing support to stakeholders with varying levels of data analytics proficiency.
  • Collaborate with the People Org Leadership Team to assess risks and opportunities in business planning, translating data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Deliver regular updates to the People Team and SIE leadership, highlighting key metrics and insights related to workforce dynamics.
  • Provide expertise and training to various centers of excellence within the People Team, guiding them in selecting appropriate metrics and interpreting data effectively.
  • Work alongside People Business Partners to drive change and enhance business outcomes through timely data analysis across various HR functions.
  • Utilize advanced analytics techniques, including statistical modeling and machine learning, to extract meaningful insights from People data.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of People Analytics dashboards, ensuring data is presented in a clear and actionable format.
  • Enhance the People Analytics technology stack to improve scalability and efficiency, allowing the team to focus on advanced analytics.
  • Manage the quality and security of key People datasets, ensuring compliance with data governance policies.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of analysts, ensuring impactful project execution and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Engage with external professional organizations to stay abreast of emerging trends in analytics.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in People Analytics, Consulting, or Business Analytics, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Mathematics, or Data Analytics.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR processes and key performance metrics.
  • Experience in managing data pipelines and ensuring data integrity.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex analytical findings to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to build relationships with executives and align analytics initiatives with their needs.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Workday, Tableau, and SQL.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in handling employee data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in developing a People Analytics program.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based analytics software and emerging technologies.
