Position Overview: Director, People Analytics
Location: San Mateo, CA (preferred)

The People Analytics (PA) team collaborates with the Human Resources department and various business units to derive data-driven insights aimed at addressing organizational challenges throughout the employee lifecycle. Our mission is to implement a comprehensive and client-focused strategy within Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) that illuminates key challenges and opportunities for attracting, hiring, retaining, and developing talent globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement the PA strategy and roadmap, aligning short and long-term objectives with organizational goals, including oversight of data warehousing and analytics tools.
  • Promote a culture of 'data-informed decision-making' across the organization, supporting stakeholders with varying levels of data analytics proficiency.
  • Provide innovative insights to the People Org Leadership Team, translating data findings into actionable recommendations for business planning.
  • Conduct regular updates for the People Team and SIE leadership, sharing essential metrics and insights related to workforce dynamics.
  • Offer guidance and expertise to various centers of excellence within the People Team, assisting in metric selection and data interpretation.
  • Collaborate with People Business Partners to drive change and enhance business outcomes through timely data analysis.
  • Utilize advanced analytics techniques, including statistical modeling and machine learning, to extract meaningful insights from People data.
  • Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of PA dashboards, ensuring data relevance and clarity.
  • Advance the PA technology framework towards greater scalability and efficiency.
  • Ensure the quality and security of key People datasets, managing the integration of data from multiple sources.
  • Lead Data Governance initiatives, establishing best practices for data management and security.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing PA team, ensuring impactful project engagement and effective communication.
  • Engage with external professional organizations to stay abreast of emerging analytical trends.
  • Perform additional duties as required in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in People Analytics, Consulting, or related fields, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field such as Business, Mathematics, or Data Analytics.
  • In-depth knowledge of human resources processes and key performance metrics.
  • Experience in data pipeline management and ensuring data integrity.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex analytics to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and influence data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Workday, Tableau, and advanced Excel.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in establishing a People Analytics program.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based analytics software and emerging technologies.
