Position Overview: Director, People Analytics
Location: San Mateo, CA (preferred)

The People Analytics (PA) team collaborates with Human Resources and business units to derive data-driven insights that address organizational challenges throughout the employee lifecycle. Our mission is to establish a comprehensive and client-focused approach within Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) to illuminate key challenges and opportunities in attracting, hiring, retaining, and developing talent globally. The PA team is dedicated to leveraging advanced data analytics and visualization techniques to provide actionable insights that inform critical business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the PA strategy and roadmap, aligning with organizational objectives, including oversight of data warehousing and analytics tools.
  • Promote a culture of 'data-informed decision-making' across the organization, ensuring stakeholders effectively utilize data analytics.
  • Support the People Org Leadership Team by providing innovative insights to assess risks and opportunities in business planning.
  • Regularly update the People Team and SIE leadership on key metrics and insights related to workforce dynamics.
  • Provide expertise and training to various People Team centers of excellence, guiding them in selecting appropriate metrics and interpreting data.
  • Collaborate with People Business Partners to drive change and enhance business outcomes through data analysis.
  • Utilize advanced analytics techniques to extract meaningful insights from People data and support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain and enhance PA dashboards to present data in a clear and actionable format.
  • Advance the PA technology stack to improve scalability and efficiency, enabling the team to focus on more complex analytics.
  • Ensure the quality and security of key People datasets, managing data integration from multiple sources.
  • Lead Data Governance initiatives, establishing best practices for data management and compliance.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing PA team, ensuring impactful project execution and effective communication.
  • Engage with external professional organizations to stay informed on emerging analytical trends.
  • Perform additional duties as required in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in People Analytics, Consulting, or Business Analytics, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field such as Business, Mathematics, or Data Analytics.
  • Deep understanding of HR processes and key performance metrics.
  • Experience in managing data pipelines and ensuring data quality.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and communicate complex findings effectively.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with department heads and executives.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Workday, Tableau, and advanced Excel.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with ethical standards.
  • Awareness of industry trends in HR analytics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in building a People Analytics program.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based analytics software.
  • Experience with statistical programming languages.

PlayStation offers a flexible hybrid working model, combining remote work with in-person collaboration as needed.
