Position Title: Quality Assurance Engineer - Pass Thru Components

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following critical functions:

  • Act as a liaison for quality assurance activities related to new model launches between North American clients and international facilities for Pass-Thru Components.
  • Lead the review and submission of documentation for new model launches to customer portals.
  • Navigate various customer portals to comprehend specific requirements and launch protocols.
  • Facilitate internal OBEYA activities to track launch performance.
  • Assist international sites with initiatives aimed at quality enhancement.
  • Coordinate containment efforts at warehouse locations across North and South America as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the Program Management team to grasp launch timelines and requirements during regular meetings.
  • Engage in NA Quality Managers and NA Quality Group meetings.
  • Support the collection of data and information for the NA Quality Performance Report.
  • Participate in training sessions related to the Aisin Way and industry standards as required.
  • Work in conjunction with Aisin NA Plants and other office locations to promote a unified team approach.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Required skills and experience include:

  • Proficient knowledge of the MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel.
  • Ability to coordinate and negotiate effectively with customers and overseas Aisin facilities.
  • Strong project management and coordination capabilities.
  • Competence in root cause analysis and problem-solving (Core Quality Skills).
  • 3-5 years of experience in planning or supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with Core Documents: Control Plan and PFMEA.
  • Knowledge of APQP processes.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of the 7 Basic QC Tools.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Access is advantageous.

Education and Certifications:

  • BA/BS degree preferred.

Travel Expectations:

  • Approximately 25-30% travel required.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to meet business needs.
