Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Actalent. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Back Office Support: Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and performing various medical procedures.
  • Clinical Support: Assist healthcare professionals with patient exams, collect medical history, and perform vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, such as data entry, billing, and insurance verification.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Certification: Active CMA (AAMA), RMA, NCMA, or CCMA certification required.
  • Education: Successful completion of a recognized medical assistant training program (or equivalent experience).
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Specialty: Experience in family practice or pediatrics.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Cerner (or EMR systems) and experience with point-of-care testing.
