Job Overview

Position: Operations Manager

Location: Rhino Tool House

Key Objectives:

  • Oversee team leaders and hourly staff to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Foster a workplace culture centered around safety and exceptional quality standards.
  • Establish, execute, and uphold quality assurance measures.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of current processes to boost the company's operational capacity.
  • Promote a lean manufacturing environment by managing key performance indicators (SQDC).
  • Assess staffing needs and recruit new personnel as necessary.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Guide, inspire, and assist a workforce of over 30 hourly employees.
  • Effectively manage diverse manufacturing processes including welding, fabrication, painting, assembly, and logistics.
  • Oversee data collection to update metrics aimed at achieving productivity goals, minimizing costs, reducing errors, and ensuring superior customer service.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to enhance overall operational performance indicators.
  • Take ownership of SQDC across all operational activities.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of demonstrated success in an operations management capacity.
  • Proficient in lean manufacturing principles (SQDC, leadership standard work, 6S).
  • Strong delegation skills while maintaining control over production workflows.
  • Proven ability to cultivate hourly teams and drive organizational change.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or equivalent experience (5+ years in an operations management role).
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
